UK house prices 'fell in October'
House prices in the UK fell slightly in October, says the Department for Communities & Local Government (DCLG). Average prices dropped by 0.3% from September to £197,987, it said.

Great spot JC. The same DCLG data spawning two very different headlines. So, who is the VI now? The BBC, that bastion of HPI, purveyor of so much property porn and Gordie’s Goebbels, or Reuters, wire service to the world, vehemently unbiased and fiercely independent. Who are we to believe? 🙂

There’s no link to it from the business pages.
The BBC remains as consistently poor in the quality of their reporting as ever.
