BBC News: Energy prices rise at EDF Energy

EDF Energy is to raise the price of gas and electricity for its five million customers, as it has been affected by rising wholesale energy costs.

When an industry expert cites this, there is little likelihood of prices reducing and therefore no excuse for the BoE to say that they are waiting 'to see if the oil price is just a spike'. Impotent bunch of manipulated old conmen.
