12 month house price report

Firstrung: House prices begin to stabilise - Assetz

Assetz claim to have compiled a more balanced report based on twelve months of stats, it doesn't make for any more pleasant reading. This time next year anyone?

Assetz!
The name and flashy web site would put me off doing business with them.

What I'd like to see is a correlation with their average of the indices and actual Land reg data.

Hehe....

"Assetz is a group of well known and successful property investment companies offering selected UK and overseas property, education, buying assistance, finance and after-sales service."

So not a VI at all then....

For "Stablise" please read, "on the plateau that comes before the fall".

PS: Denzil - one of the owners probably turned off his predictive text when he messaged the ones filling in their Companies House registration.

Yeah-but-no-but.

At the end of the day, they're not unbiased. They are a property investment company. While less scrupulous economists might take their analyses seriously, they don't bring anything objective to the party.

Interesting quote:

"Assetz believes that individual monthly movements in individual indices from specific providers should not be taken as an indication of the market."

Although they would have been happy to honk and bray about rising month-on-month prices (i.e. when the news was good!).

Not the most impartial bunch then. I reckon their logic is as simple as YOY so far is 6% so we will see (pick a number either side!) 5-7% for the rest of the year
