Firstrung: Debt and social misery: the flipside of Britains financial services boom

The immediate reaction from many readers would be to see the origin of this press release, the world socialist web site, www.wsws.org and simply dismiss the views as being; too extreme and polarised from the mainstream as to have credibility. The Firstrung team would suggest that you give this article careful consideration as we defy any reader not to find agreement with several aspects of the content

When you lie down with dogs, you wake up with fleas.

If you attempt to replicate the socio-economic system of the United States, you inherrit the social concequences.

However, we are not American, how ever much Bliar, Brown, and their Mckinsey mates would wish us to be.

I cannot believe how complciant the Middle Class have become. Maybe if they spent a little less time reading property mags. and a little more reading history books, they might realise that their current positions of priviledge and plenty, are inherently temporary.

Britain is becoming a simmering, angry,( National Socialist?) political melting pot.

History, after all, repeats itself.
