The US property market has been in a tailspin since the start of the year (-20%). What's more, this is being called the tremor before the big one.

Not good news for those of us with investments and savings. We need a HPC without a Stock market crash or wild currency fluctuations, otherwise we are wiped out too (remember the building societies invest your money not only in other property but also in the stock market and currency markets - if all three go we are all in deep do do)
