In France, trusts for the avoidance of tax are not recognised. We should do the same here, but of course this
would put the entrenched "tax avoidance" industry out of business. We can't have that happening can we!

I mentioned a couple of days ago that I live in Guernsey, which is of course a haven for tax avoiders, and I wish the British government would cease to recognise trusts and offshore jurisdictions. The island has gone from being a genuinely nice place to live to being a playground for the rich, full of 4by4 and mercedes sports car driving arrogant parasites. Locals can no longer afford to live in their homeland and are being financially squeezed out.
