Mortgage lending sees no Spring bounce - Bank of England

Mortgage approvals fell to their lowest level in seven months in April in what could be a sign that a recent revival in the housing market may vanish over the coming months.

  • And not a whimper from the BBC journalist Ian Pollock who was prancing about yelping “experts who predicted that prices would be subdued this year – or even fall – could soon be left with a certain amount of egg on their faces” less than a month ago.
