BBC: Consumer lull undermines growth

Hopes of a rate cut to help the consumer vanish as GDP Grows 0.6% over the first three months of the year.

I can't believe the BBC said this: "The Bank of England's monetary policy committee will have to decide if the figure is strong enough to raise rates at its next meeting".

It appears that our only hope for growth is that we keep extracting cash from our already overpriced and over mortgaged properties. The taxes from this money can then be used by Gordan to spend on increasing the civil service payroll. Someone will soon have to pick up the bill! (taxpayers in the future and the banks writing off all those bad debts.)
