A Government can bail as many times as they want there is no limit, however the more that a government rescues the weaker the currency becomes. I think they will keep bailing ad infinitium, because they are terrified of what will happen if they don't bail....

It can keep happening for as long as we have paper and ink.

Eventually trust in the currency may happen but we haven't reached a sterling collapse yet....

The money is coming from the future, what we do is imagine how much the economy will have grown in 10 years, double the number and then just like magic that money now exists as we sell the future money on as debt now to be paid later when the money hopefully exists.

This plan is full proof and has worked for years.

It's only restricted by the poor imagination of others.

Think gambler in a casino on a losing streak, with the heavies after him, praying for his luck to change. The credit cards are already maxed out, the overdraft blown... To get through it he will raid his wife's purse, the kids' piggy banks... the parents' premuim bonds.

Just one more throw...

Just one more card...

Just one more pull...

Just one more race...

And so it goes on until he is stopped.

Edit: missed apostrophe

The Government is going to issue some bonds to cover the bailouts so we shouldnt have to worry too much as everyone in the world is waiting in the wings to jump into the UK Gov Bonds Market.

We are the fourth richest nation in the world, only Argentina, Japan, Mongolia, can proudly consider themselves richer than ourselves, Europe, and the US.

Think gambler in a casino on a losing streak,

It's a fair analogy, but I go with the other idea; they're just so frightened of what happens when you face facts.

You see, if you take all of Brown & his acolytes together you won't find a one of them who's ever lived with the prospect of commercial failure and turned it round. They are professional talkers, just nobodies.

When people like that find themselves in a situation like this they'll bottle it every time. No balls. That's why they never did anything.

Does your keyboard's 'S' key actually have an apostrophe built in?

Haven't they been bailing everyone out for the last ten years, given the money supply figures?

then why is it when money supply figures for the last ten years, have been out of sink with the norm the pound has not, lost it's value before.all the crap is coming out at the same time.

when one looks at the madoff case 50bn any otheir time this would have been huge..against 100's of bn's it's not so big..what's going on surely it's not all coming out at the same time by chance surely not.someone out ther make real sense of it, any of it..just think if we know liar loan's are bad or they caused property prices to go through the roof..was the goverment asleep.a lot of things seem to be by chance too many for me...(chance :unsure::unsure: )

According to the IMF we have already exceeded our limit and at risk of defaulting on our gilt. Basically we have borrowed more than we can physically afford to pay back if it all goes wrong. If it all goes wrong then the UK will be bankrupt and sued by just about every G8 country.

If we end up having to sell short term gilts think Northern Rock. Once inflation kicks in and interest rates start heading up worldwide, we will have the mother of all problems servicing the debt when we have to keep rolling it over.

that sounds very nasty to me..:huh::o:( so what will happen to the pound then any ideas out ther ?

Do you reckon Brown et al would admit they ****** up at this stage?

Ah what a fantastic moment that would be, Brown rushed out of Downing street after admitting complete economic mismanagement.

And then Pat Primer apologizing on here...

we can but dream.

I think the only thing that could make me vote for any of the main UK parties at this stage would be if one of them said, Look, that thing we were talking about before, we just got it completely and utterly fecking wrong. The fact that this seems so fantastic says a lot about the state we're in.
