Ash4781
interest rates at 0%. Turn up every month waiting for signs output rising then raise rates 0.1%
BigBang
Yep - finally he's gone from the MPC! After getting his way with lower rates he bails before the blame game begins...and to the US??? Why was a US based expert influencing rate decisions in the UK anyway? I for one am not sad to see him go! http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/David-Bla...olicy_Committee

0q0
A pathetic stupid ridiculous idea to have him or any non-UK national on the panel anyway, utterly senseless, especially to give in to currency killing IR cuts when there is not one sensible piece of evidence to suggest they assist in any worthwhile way during this stage of the cycle and in this kind of mess. What on earth are Mervyn King and the others thinking of? It is beyond belief the stupidity that they have accepted and turned into policy. This is all turning into a screenplay which someone will shoot one day, and audiences, probably our grandchildren, will scoff at how we allowed the lunatics to take over the asylum. I guess it's only the apathetic still residing in the UK - and I'm just as guilty of apathy - the smart money and brains disappeared abroad some time ago. I don't want to leave the UK as I have affection for what it was, but isn't really the same place any more.
deadman
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'd love to feel that smarmy *******'s face. Good riddance.
