Prices On Land Registry?

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know whose obligation it is to place price details with the LR?

I'm trying to track down the sold price of a repo', all I can get from the LR is the subsequent re-sale by the estate agent. I have no idea how or where the EA bought the repo, the mortgage company seems not to exist - apart from a website, an answerphone, and a cheap flat in Southend. The house went from repo to new occupier in possession in three months flat, I'm thinking the repo was sold at WELL below best achievable value. Of course, none of the parties involved want to speak to me....

Is this related to the fact that the LR data set doesn't include repos? Have you actually enquired at the LR? or just looked at the what price house sold at sites?

Peter.

You can now get (or at least you could last time I tried) historical copies of the official register which will show the price paid - albeit that they won't have included it in their house price stats.

Give them a ring and they'll tell you which form to fill in.
