The real pros like RB work for different masters on different boards. Were you privy to the IP addresses, you'd know that he makes Bob Crow look like a rabid tory on some other sites.

You lot are havin' me on!

Really?

Just made a thread on this, but its probably better here.....

A thread on here led me to a link to Nick Robinson's blog last night... He made comparisons between the arrest of Damian Green and that of Ruth Turner, leading to a storm of protest, today we see a re-write..if you scroll down you can see the original blog too...

The arrest of Damian Green is outrageous. So was the murder of David Kelly and the subsequent whitewash. How are we going to rid the country of this administration. I fear that they will win the next election even if nobody votes for them.

My thoughts exactly ZanuLabour have ruined this country:

I'm off / can I interest you in the Countryside Alliance Christmas raffle?

Just imagine:

You're a junior civil servant.

You're an active member of one of the main political parties.

In the past you've stood, unsuccessfully, for a minor elected office under that party banner.

You'd like to work full time for that political party and apply for a job.

You are interviewed by a senior member of that political party but you don't get the job, yet.

You now return to your civil service job and keep your head down.

You start leaking a stream of confidential items to the very same person who interviewed you for the party post and turned you down.

Nothing wrong with that, is there? It's all 'in the public interest'.

JUST A MENTAL EXERCISE, OF COURSE. ANY SIMILARITY TO ANY PERSON LIVING OR DEAD IS PURELY COINCIDENTAL.

And just as a mental exercise, who is the guilty party in your little scenario?

Just Imagine:

You're a junior civil servant.

You leak information that the public SHOULD KNOW, potentially embarrassing the authoritarian regime known as New Labour.

You are arrested in a dawn raid and 'accommodated' in a 'safe house'.

You are coerced by the politicised MET to contact a Tory MP in an attempt to ensare him. The Tory MP simply encourages you to get legal advice, fearing his phone is tapped by the regime.

The Tory MP is arrested by anti-terror police. This action is widely critised, even by members of New Labour.

The Tory MP is released without charge.

You are kept in the safe house to 'protect' you from the media.

New Labour rapidly try to distance themselves from the arrests.

Some retard called PatPrimer tries to defend the arrests on housepricecrash.co.uk

Nothing wrong with that, is there? It's all 'in the public interest'.

If the action is harmless, it doesn't matter why it's been done.

He could have handed the info over because his tablelamp told him to or he thinks there are fairies at the bottom of his garden, as the action itself is harmless, it's irrelevent. is handing information over in and of itself a crime?

Nope.

No injured party, see?

Yes. Happens all the time.

But as Labour Party members far outnumber Tories in the Civil Service rank and file then they are the main beneficiaries of this activity, particularly when in opposition. As a former Trade Union official in the old Inland Revenue Staff Federation (now part of the PCS) this is one bit of government where I have direct experience. Although the Union was not technically politically affiliated many of its most activists were Labour party members. Indeed, its ex alumni included James Callaghan a future Labour Prime Minister. In addition, several of its general secretaries (e.g Clive Brooke) and other officials (Liz Symons) have wound up as Labour peers in the Lords which seems strange for a staff organisation that claimed to have no direct links to the party. One assumes they did not get these peerages for nothing.

This set up means that Labour always had a good feed of information about what was going wrong in government. Indeed, one of the follies of the Tory party over the years was its constant desire to denigrate all Civil Servants and not to develop better contacts within it. It seems that the Labour party simply does not like it when the Conservatives start playing them at their own game.

Great to see this clip of Gordon Brown available. It's already on this discussion, but it's worth highlighting again.

http://www.order-order.com/2008/11/brown-c...misconduct.html

Banged to rights. Lock him up before he ***cks anything else up!

No mouth breathing in the interview? What happened to him since then that means he has to suck air every few sentences.

Nice to see that Nick Robinson reads this board.

'Groomed'. I wonder why the police used that word, 'groomed'? In addition to the word 'induce'. Things are looking more and more serious. Are we in for an early statement to the media at the drive entrance, flanked by members of the close family a la Little Britain, do you think? Sad.
