Guest Mr Parry
Nice to see that Nick Robinson reads this board.'Groomed'. I wonder why the police used that word, 'groomed'? In addition to the word 'induce'. Things are looking more and more serious. Are we in for an early statement to the media at the drive entrance, flanked by members of the close family a la Little Britain, do you think? Sad. p . . . to make Green look like a nonce? bearbullfence
If you really wanted to see a Police State in action you should have tried living in a Yorkshire Pit Village circa 1984/85 ... I did live in a yorkshire pit village in 1984/5. And my Dad was a miner. Although I don't recognise the "police state" you mention. Care to elaborate? patprimer74
Have you noticed how more and more confident government ministers are getting about the whole thing? They're offering the usual comments of regret but standing firm and getting firmer. Meanwhile, the Tory bluster has diminished and those in the know are ready to abandon him. p

patprimer74
Come on, Tory Central Office, your team of posters is a bit slow this morning. Icantbelieveitsnotbutter
labour hate any forum of influence they cannot control. I'm not sure any political party has the resources to dent the output on this forum. Any suggestion, that prior to the Labour coming to power, the extraordinary reach and depth of information they seemed to have was clearly unrelated to the number of Labour activists within the public sector, is clearly unfounded and totally coincidental. We seem to have lost a total sense of proportionality in our legal system. Life imprisonment for receiving information that is embarrassing to Govt but not subject to any official secrets act? This morning, though, they're totally silent because a big decision has to be made before they start their work.p This has nothing whatsoever to do with party affiliation and everything to do with liberty and the ability of MPs to hold the executive to account. Even the socialist's favourite paper is reporting Cabinet disquiet - and, in case you had fogotten, the Cabinet is composed of Labour Party MPs. Acting Met chief could step aside in Damian Green leak row Senior members of the cabinet have expressed deep disquiet over the treatment of Green, who was detained by police for nine hours last Thursday and forced to give a fingerprint and DNA sample. Thunderbird 900
jp1, Pat the Prat can't be Ed Balls! Blinking, lisping Balls is too busy compiling his report about Baby P, fiddling his Parliamentary expenses with toyboy wife and trying to hide his income from the Smith Institute.
