Moo
Interestingly.... He's just said the whole "we bail you out if you keep lending" thingy applied to SMEs... and didn't mention mortgages. At all. Well, yet, anyway.

Chuffy Chuffnell
I cannot believe the nerve of this Chancellor! Putting UP fuel and alcohol duties! And of course they won't go back down when VAT is back up to 17.5%
@contradevian
some good useful help for SME's if it isn't BS (some of it nicked from the Tories like VAT deferment).

IP Newcomer
Small companies rate increase postponed. Some piddling stuff on tax repayments stretching back as well as forward. It's going to mess up a lot of tax software.

IP Newcomer
some good useful help for SME's if it isn't BS (some of it nicked from the Tories like VAT deferment). With the exception of the deferment it's actually very limited (and we haven't seen the detail on the deferment). Added together it should be quite helpful though. Moo
That's been the line for some time, no? It's been more the line recently than it has been. At the start of all this, it was merely "lending at 2007 levels" - no recipients specified.
