Pessimist
Read Debtonation:The First World Debt Crisis by Ann Pettifor for some common sense economics about how we could turn the current banking/currency/nation collapse into something more positive. A link from her site takes us to New Economics Foundation The global economy is facing a ‘triple crunch’: a combination of a credit-fuelled financial crisis, accelerating climate change and soaring energy prices underpinned by encroaching peak oil. It is increasingly clear that these three overlapping events threaten to develop into a perfect storm, the like of which has not been seen since the Great Depression, with potentially devastating consequences. Unless we deal with all the three converging disasters the future for the human race will not be a happy one. Definitely not a good time to have children, most of them will not thank us for the legacy we are leaving them, and probably not a good world to grow old in.
