Paddles
What do you think; over -1.5% MoM and it'll be released tomorrow ("Hey Mervyn! Listen to Blanchflower!"), otherwise it's coming out Friday?

thecrashingisles
Surely you mean the Halifax hpc figures?
RufflesTheGuineaPig
Surely you mean the Halifax hpc figures? With such low volumes an increase could easily be fiddles in. What's often more interesting is when they adjust previous months figures so this month doesn't seem so bad.
Selling up
Never thought I'd say this but: I don't care when the figures come out. I don't care what they say. The entire media world (Daily Express aside) is taking a catastrophic HPC as given. 35% from peak is openly discussed. Our work here is done. I might have to find a new way to waste time for the next couple of years until I'm looking to buy.

Yorkshire Lad
This is how I'm feeling - we were right, we're being proven right, & we're only going to get "righter" I've been on here since I put the house on the market in March. In that time the market has changed massively, buyers confidence has all but disappeared, lenders arent lending unless youve got a suitcase full of cash as a deposit and the meeja are chock full of crash related stories. Seems that the media now prefer to talk up a housing crash as it makes a good story. Good thing is I'm now out of the housing market as I've sold last month and moving into a rented place next week. Goodness only knows what it will be like in 12 months or 2 years.
deadman
What's beginning to piss me off is these mom -ve's aren't being reflected enough in asking prices. There are some greedy, stubborn bastards out there. They'll break first long before me though.

Funny really when the mortgage approvals gives such an accurate forecast up to 6 months ahead using Halifax data. VMR.
