@contradevian
Thanks to the babyboomers us Generation Xers are left to rot in downtrodden bumping into in supermarkets in the value section. Talk about selling the family silver. The day this country began to be 'nice' and 'liberal' was the day it started going down the pan. I'd have prefered it if we still had our mean streak! I think you will find you have been done down by your fellow bonus driven "Generation X's" running the banking industry (into the ground) and the City/Wall Street! Fully agree this is a major factor, the boomers prospered and then decided to keep it all to themselves... the lack of intergenerational understanding, the lack of alturism and massive greed has caused BIG problems. Mum and Dad a bit flush - move abroad. Grandma a bit flush - bedblock a huge 5 bed house. Of cause this will implode, but for all of us... sithclone7
You know where? Underground. A Brave New World, Listen again. And Part 2 You should see it down there - hundreds of miles of drains - sweet and clean now after the rain, dark, quiet, safe. We can build houses and everything, start again from scratch. And what's so bad about living underground eh? It's not been so great living up here, if you want my opinion. Take a look around you at the world we've come to know Does it seem to be much more than a crazy circus show But maybe from the madness something beautiful will grow In a brave new world With just a handful of men We'll start - we'll start all over again - all over again - all over again - all over again We'll build shops and hospitals and barracks right under their noses - right under their feet! Everything we need - banks, prisons and schools... We'll send scouting parties to collect books and stuff, and men like you'll teach the kids. Not poems and rubbish - science, so we can get everything working. We'll build villages and towns and... and... we'll play each other at cricket! Listen, maybe one day we'll capture a Fighting Machine, eh? Learn how to make 'em ourselves and then wallop! Our turn to do some wiping out! Whoosh with our Heat Ray - Whoosh! And them running and dying, beaten at their own game. Man on top again! Now our domination of the Earth is fading fast And out of the confusion the chance has come at last To build a better future from the ashes of the past In a brave new world With just a handful of men We'll start all over again Look - Man is born in freedom but he soon becomes a slave In cages of convention from the cradle to the grave The weak fall by the wayside but the strong will be saved In a brave new world With just a handful of men We'll start all over again I'm not trying to tell you what to be Oh no, oh no, not me But if mankind is to survive The people left alive They're gonna have to build this world anew And it's going to have to start with me and you Yes! I'm not trying to tell you what to be Oh no, oh no, not me But if mankind is to survive The people left alive They're gonna have to build this world anew Yes and we will have to be the chosen few Just think of all the poverty, the hatred and the lies And imagine the destruction of all that you despise Slowly from the ashes the phoenix will arise In a brave new world With just a handful of men We'll start all over again Take a look around you at the world you've loved so well And bid the ageing empire of man a last farewell It may not sound like Heaven but at least it isn't Hell It's a brave new world With just a handful of men We'll start - we'll start all over again - all over again - all over again - all over again. I've got a plan! Can't you just see it? Civilization starting all over again - a second chance. We'll even build a railway and tunnel to the coast, go there for our holidays. Nothing can stop men like us. I've made a start already. Come on down here and have a look. Edited August 31, 2008 by sithclone7
Wires 74
I usually go over to Denmark a couple of times a year, having relatives there. They've got it pretty much they way they want it. Good healthcare system, high standard of education (most people seem to be tri-lingual - Danish, German & English), great quality of life. Always comes out well in "best places to live" surveys. Denmarks got worse HPI than the UK Didn`t their government have to bail out a big bank this week ?

" Mr and Mrs Canoe highly recomend it

wren
From a purely economic point of view might I suggest Norway? The problem with that is that it is not an EU country, so a Briton has no right of residence. A roundabout way would be to gain citizenship of some other Nordic state, after which you would have full access to Norway: not just right of residence but to work or not and just claim social benefits (all citizens of Nordic states are treated as if citizens in each of the others). If you want to take that type of route, I should recommend Sweden. All citizens of EU countries have right of residence there as it is an EU country. Getting Swedish citizenship is pretty easy and possible after only 3 years residence, I've heard. You would need to learn some Swedish, but for English speakers it is probably one of the easiest foreign languages. They give citizenship to all and sundry. As they say in Finland (where I live), Sweden is the "guilty" man of the world (meaning to say suffering some sort of White-guilt complex, created by decades of heavy politico-racial propaganda). tricksters
i have a land and house in Gambia an english speaking country. I have Orange trees growing about to fruit I have a well for water and enough room for cattle and veg growing. I am also fortunate to be near a fishing village which sells fish dirt cheap. =============================================================================== Yes, a country that is largely ignored as a special place to visit. Am a bit concerned that they are selling fish dirt, though. Even if it is cheap.
darwin
Denmarks got worse HPI than the UK Didn`t their government have to bail out a big bank this week ? That would be Roskilde Bank. I think it's now in a state-owned, Northern Rock type situation. Property prices in Denmark will collapse, just like in the UK. In the grand scheme of things that's probably good. There'll be money problems but it is quite a different society to the UK. In the area I visit efforts were being made years ago to discourage foreigners buying property to use as second homes which would then have been left empty, creating ghost villages. They're not into party now, pay later.

Yeah, I hear Stockholm is turning into Baghdad. Fools, handing away their country. These wimpy metrosexual vikings need to pull themselves together and grow some SWEDES! From what I know Sweden since WW2 has been well and truly BLASTED with marxist lefty propaganda like no other, even worse than us. Thats why they all feel guilty about being White (er WHAT have they got to feel guilty about) With a small population they could be 3rd world immigratised (new word?) out of existence within a few decades, and the long legged Swedish babe will be nothing but an ancient memory. The world will be a poorer place. If people wonder why, note that Stockholm is and has been for a long time a banking centre. Malmö in southern Sweden, though, is the most "culturally enriched". In many districts police cars go only in pairs, as any unsupervised car will be vandalized. Fire and ambulance services suffer from these problems (requiring police escort in the most culturally enriched districts). Ultimately such services could cease out of necessity. But I suggested Sweden only as a means to an end. And realistically in a dire economic situation most would be better off among their own kin. But for those with a keen and long view it might be worth a moments consideration.

Sweden - yes, not a bad choice for safe haven. Lots of space and the South of the Country is quite mild nowadays for most of the year. But why turn this into a race/immigration thing - I see the fact that Sweden took in many hundreds of thousands of desperate refugees from Chile, Yugoslavia and latterly Africa as a humane and just thing. Why belittle it through uninformed mudslinging? No foreign language is easy - though admittedly Finnish is harder for an English-speaker than Swedish. From time spent in Norway, the people there seem like fun. Ditto Denmark. Less so, Sweden. Much less so. The Swedes are pretty damned witty and talented (see their vastly superior literature, TV and film industry) but I agree they are not so fun as the Danes and Norwegians. You could hardly call the Finns more fun than the Swedes, though. Vilket jävla skit alltså.
