Don't Mention Stamp Duty!

Recommended Posts

Caught this on PM on the way home - Robert Peston had a pre-planned 'credit crunch birthday' interview with Alastair Darling.

However, shortly before the interview Darling asked RP whether he'd be mentioning stamp duty.

Well, yes, said RP. Since listeners will be interested in it (or words to that effect)

In that case, said Darling, I'd rather not do the interview. (or WTTE)
