Halifax July Mom Poll Due 7/8/08

Recommended Posts

all respect to noels halifax thread for this months halifax http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/ind...15&start=15 but here is one in MOM terms

for what its worth im going -2.0%

i cannot believe we are talking in these terms so matter of fact these days ---happy days

Boring isn't it? I hardly bother looking out for the Halifax or Nationwide figures now. Not like those heady mornings when I'd go to work late just so I could hear Fionualalala's dulcit tones on the Today Programme saying the words "strong fundamentals" and "underlying demand" through gritted teeth as she annouced the first MoM drop and then the the first YoY drop.

Oh well, I'm the MTV generation, instant gratification is the only gratification.

Just read tonight's daily rag with the weekly property supplement. Halifax usually take a full page ad, there are usually about 10-12 pages.

There were NO property ads at all, 3 newbuild (we'll pay first 12 months, give you a car etc.) & 1 page of LETTINGS!! Including front & back write ups, 4 pages in total.

Stunning

Anyone care to remind me what time the results are announced?

IIRC it's an early morning announcement... or am I wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Rob

Used to be 8:00 am, prior to last month's release.

Now looks like 9:00 am, frighten fewer sheeple on breakfast telly.

Its pathetic the things they will try in an attempt to take the news out of the spotlight

With declining numbers of transaction, are these figures still useful?
