Stop Bribing People To Buy Houses In Falling Market

Recommended Posts

Sensible words from the only sensible MP out there.

Cameron ough to ditch Osborne and offer Vince the Chancellorship after Gordon has gone down with his ship.

I can hardly wait to hear Gordon when he gets back from his holiday saying: My job is to get on with getting the house market moving again to enable more MEW and BTL blah blah blah.

Thinking about it, Vince might be the best choice for PM. Pity he is tied up with the purple shirt brigade a.k.a. Social Liberals or whatever.

Vince is once again poking holes/chasms in the Labour Govt's policies.

If he is not careful he is going to be getting a vote from me next time around - someone who makes honest assesments of the situation unlike those other cretins (in both blue and red) who are just bull sitting us as if we are ignorant fools or getting policy advice from property porn queens.

Why isnt Vince Cable leader of the Libdems? He always seems to talk sense.

Because they got rid of Ming on the basis he was too old, so Cable could hardly run being quite 'mature' himself. They seem to think they needed a Cameron/Blair clone, so they chose Nick Clegg. Strangely Cable is in the news far more than Clegg, and a lot of people might think he is Lib Dem leader.

I still think him a Hague should form their own party. I'd vote for them.

He's allegedly "too old". To be a successful political leader it seems you now have to look like a failed Estate Agent.

Good idea, VC would make a very capable Chancellor, it's something we really need now.

Hague and Cable - sounds good, I quite like Hague, head screwed on, would be a good duo (in a non sexual way!)

Did you see both of them standing in for their respetive party leaders while Harman stood in for Brown at PMQs? It was absolutely hilarious, her whining feminism had no chance against their towering wit.

Should I have said the only one I can think of off the top of my head at the particular time of posting

The problem is he IS the only one. The utter catastrophe this country has become and he is the only MP telling it how it is, that scares me just a touch

We all have to wait for the truth to unveil itself to us in real terms in the real world and for most its far to late to do anything to protect themselves. Those that support Vince are mostly the ones that have already seen it coming and have protected themselves, everyone else thinks hes the nutter of a pointless party. I sometimes wonder when I see Vince on the news what hes really thinking, it looks like he wants to just laugh and say wake up you fools the whole things been rigged from day one, why the f*ck am I doing this interview anyway. I have no faith in a system where there is a 600-1 chance of the truth being told and acted upon, shambles

I'm sure web-savvy Cameron reads this site and no doubt he'll be devastated to hear I don't rate him over Brown, but I would choose Hague and Cable for front bench of whatever party could sort out Britain, and get rid of the grey suits and old pals' act brigade who may produce obstacles to any progress. When I say get rid, I don't mean Armstrong & Miller style "Kill Them!" but rather make sure no one with vested interests infiltrates parliament or corridors of power. Much easier to say than do, I dare say. Sometimes I think the whole show is run by a wealthy club and us lot on the outside are plain old tax-paying wallies being shoved around and grateful to be "allowed" to buy an over-priced shed and a pricey bit of tin with an engine.

His nickname amongst MPs is 'Dr Doom' apparently, and they used to mock him with it when used to speak in the house. Not sure he'll get the same treatment now!

The problem is, most voters own houses, particulalr in Tory seats, so they want prices to rise, even though they are unlikely to ever realise any actual benefit from high house prices. MPs aren't going to start arguing prices need to fall, as it would likely be electoral suicide. What we need is someone like Vince to appear on Eastenders and Corrie to explain that high house prices are not a good thing for our financial wellbeing in the same way high oil or food prices are bad for us. Then maybe the proles will get it.

You'd think they'd have a bit more respect for his economic forecasts, considering he was chief economist at Shell. He must be the only economist who actually knows anything about economics.

Vince is my MP and has proved to be a great MP for me at least, he has really helped me out and barring massive scandal can rely on my support for a long, long, time.

Does this make me a Vincette or a Cablette? I, for one would join his fanclub, sigh.

Thanks for the linkies, peeps.
