As Boe Approvals Plunge To New Lows

For those of you who don't know, Spline was a chartist poster who maintained that a very strong relationship existed between mortgage approval numbers and house price inflation in the following 6 month period.

It seems this relationship is very much true (and it is easy to see the logic in it). However why isn't he lapping it up now and revelling in glory?

I think someone may have suggested it before, but I'll ask it again:
