Shocking Statistics

Recommended Posts

Received this in an email

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 600 employees

and has the following employee statistics .

29 have been accused of spouse abuse

7 have been arrested for fraud

9 have been accused of writing bad cheques

17 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

3 have done time for assault

71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

8 have been arrested for shoplifting

21 are currently defendants in lawsuits

84 have been arrested for drink driving in the last year

Which organisation is this ?

It's the 635 members of the House of Commons, the same group that cranks

out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us inline.

And just to top all that they probably have the best 'corporate' pension scheme

in the country!!

So is it true?

Sounds like garbage

Many of us have received a viral e-mail like this:

Subject: Truth

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500

employees and has the following statistics:

29 have been accused of spousal abuse

7 have been arrested for fraud

19 have been accused of writing bad check

Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress

83.4% of them are Democrats

The house of commons is meant to be representative of the population as a whole, so these figures look pretty accurate to me except for the knife crime, oops I forgot PMQ,s.

.....

2 seconds on google gave me this:

http://www.snopes.com/politics/crime/congress.asp

I believe it refers to members of Congress over the last two centuries.

Oh dear....

Its a hoax, been doing the rounds for years, started out as a USA based one.

By the way, I have $100,000,000 that I need to get out of the country, would you like to help me for a small percentage?

Tell me more, isn't he one of the MP's for Wolverhampton?

Wolverhampton South West. Allegedly climbed over a car bonnet to get to a bus. Strange rather than sinister I think.

Yeah, sure. 84 MPs have been arrested for drink driving IN THE PAST YEAR.

I rilly rilly bleeve.

I'm surprised so many have criminal records.

Most of the time they get apprehended by the news of the world on clapham common, going for an evening jog

Ruth kelly has made no secret of her/his/it's penchent for S+M and a bit of flaggelation.

...suppose that deserves some credit, mosely needs to convert to opus dei and then there's nothing sordid about it!
