100% Mortgages

Recommended Posts

I have just heard from a person who completes conveyance on properties that the Bank of Ireland are offering FTB's the chance to apply for a 100% mortgage only if their parents or guardians act as guarantors?

Does anyone know of this?

So your parents become liable if you fail to pay as an FTB. Imagine losing your job and landing your parents in it? I bet that would go down like a lead balloon.

Hopefully, parents will tell their kids to wait until the prices come down and buy then instead.

Might have gone down well in the boom times, not so now! What parent will go guarantor for their offspring with house prices dropping????
