It seems that the governments plans for 15 new Eco towns may be scrapped due to planning laws.

Governments target of 3M homes is not going to be met, developers not prepared to invest the money to build.

How long will it be before the VI's come back with the supply / demand argument.

Ignore it, it's just more pro-government propaganda from the BBC.

Flint seemed to be in a bad mood. She almost snarled at the end of the interview. She knows this is a stupid idea - maybe she's beginning to realise that you don't need to build 3 million new homes when there are so many empty or when second home buyers could just snap them up and leave them empty for most of the time. . No, Flint just avoided the question of affordable homes to rent.

And maybe the villages that exist already would qualify as eco towns if they still had their post offices and schools so people didn't their cars = and th odd bus might be helpful.

green is ******** propaganda

forgetting that for a minute, there are farrrrr worse chemicals and problems than CO2 we should be worried about.

forgetting that for a minute, most of a households energy use is the home, not the car.

considering a household can cut its energy use by 80% if the person living there put on the correct cloths i say we ban people in villages from using gas or any other sort of heating, those dam ultra nimbys
