so it fell from as much as 224,950 to 110k, and it STILL doesn't look that attractive for the money

that's not froth, that's more like the first pull from a beer barrel change

It may be garsley but at least it's East Grinstead!

East Grinstead is 'ghastly' already, without foul little abodes like this being allowed to avoid demolition.

This is the kind of appalling, pokey, joyless "house" which could tip a mild depressive into suicide. The notion that this excuse for a dwelling could possibly have ever been worth more than 60k is a key indicator of the insanity of house price inflation.

This 3 bed terraced by the sea got £100k at auction this week:

Hmmm, been to Littlehampton lately? Its known in the area as downtown LA.

The asking prices for properties near there arent that far off, such as this one...

I wouldnt though, not if you want to park your car nearby or walk around the area

You can get a four bedroom house for a little bit more if you move by the sea, fancy it anyone...

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-170...=1&tr_t=buy

Lets look

567_KBR080025_IMG_00_0001.JPG

No bricks, no roof !

Hell i've seen better looking garden sheds and if any of the goverment propaganda is true about sea levels rising several meters by 2050 then why would banks lend against such a property.

• FRONT GARDEN AND REAR GARDEN

Yeah just look at the 1m2 front garden

Next they will tell us it has glass windows.

OK i'll give you 40k for it as a rental but thats about all.

Hard to believe it was ever "worth" over 200k.

It was never WORTH over 200k. Just some idiot surveyor priced it (or maybe he had too or he wouldn't have had any more instructions), and some idiot bank clerk (probably in Northern Rock) approved the loan (because lets face it, once the idiot surveyor has priced it at the threat of his livelihood how can a drone argue at the threat of his) and then some idiot bought it - probably for 179K expecting to flip.
