Kissing Towers Scrapped

Recommended Posts

PLANS for an iconic twin-tower development in Leeds city centre have been scrapped because of the property slump – and experts are predicting more developments may also be axed.

The downturn in the property market was last night blamed for the decision to axe the £115m Criterion Place "Kissing Towers" scheme which was proposed in April 2004.

The apartment and hotel project would have seen a 47-storey tower and a 27-stor

ey tower next door, off Sovereign Street.
