Letting Boom?

Recommended Posts

In our neck of the woods, 'To Let' boards are going up all over the place - and staying up. Also a few 'reduced price' rental ads in the local paper.

Same here, there is a sea of To Let signs the whole way along Lordship Lane in Dulwich, just signed a new 12 month AST and the LL didn't even attempt to talk about increased rent.

Rents going down everywhere.....fantastic news...and if you see some landlord not dropping their prices, leave the property void.

As a starting point, if one wishes to rent a home, offer -20% below their asking prices, then settle on -18%. This, of course, will decreas further in coming months.

Many desperate landlords will accept such ofers, bypass the agents, deal directly with the landlords when you can. And if your letting agent refuses to give you the landlords full contact details within 7 days of your request, let them know they are breaking UK law, and stop your rent payments because of it...until they comply with your demand..
