Desperate Ea

Recommended Posts

We are selling my parents house and it has been on the market since February. We reduced the price about 2 months ago but no viewings. I was about to ring the EA and suggest they reduce the price again. Anyway they rang me and suggested that the price was reduced again. So on impulse I said I wll reduce the price if you reduce your fees. She said I will speak to my area manager and lo and behold she came back and agreed to it. From 1.25% down to 1%

Is that desperation.....

Not desperate.

Well, not as long as the reductions were pro-rata: You reduce from £250k to £200k (20%), and they reduce from 1.25% down to 1% (20%).

1% of £200k is £2000. 1.25% of no sale is SFA.
