I dont think there is anything in or around kettering that could fetch that much.

Maybe its some sort of 'Joseph Fritzl special' and the last owner went to considerable expense to construct a vast labarinth of underground dungeons?

Probably slapped a large tub of magnolia around the place and gave it some curb appeal.

Nah mate...you'd need at least a new granite top workbench in the kitchen for that sort of price rise...probably also need to redecorate the bathroom in "Avocado".

Barton Road Kettering

Can this be a mistake?

Click on the Map hyperlink, switch to satellite view and zoom in. It looks as if the house has been totally rebuilt and is 3 times the size of the property next door.

Looks to me like the original property may have been a total wreak, and therefore sold at a massive discount, then knocked down and a new much bigger property built.
