New Gordon Brown Swing-o-meter

Recommended Posts

Telegraph reported today that Brown actually has the lead over the SNP. If New Labour win they will be crowing about how their strong and true leader is the right man to take us through the rough times caused by all those other countries. The local election and last couple of by-elections will be all but forgotten and Brown will have the moral right to impose his taxes including the retroactive car tax doubling scandal.

RB,

Please explain this retroactive/spective car tax thing.

Sounds bad.

Basically RB is trying to tout the line that Gordon Brown is the only politician in history to introduce retrospective taxation - as others have already pointed-out this is not the case.

Strictly speaking, its not retrospective in its implementation. You won't receive a backdated bill.

You will have a much higher rate of VED to pay if your car is in one of the 'higher' emission brackets, from April 2010.

Alex Salmond is playing the long game here, why else would they field a low key candidate called "Mason" in a predominately Catholic area. He may as well go round with an Orange Sash on !

Alex wants Broon to stay leader and cause a meltdown in 2010.

A huge Tory majority in Westminster will move the SNP to total victory in a referendum.
