Why Do Labour Supporters Complain They Cannot Get On The Housing Ladder ?

Recommended Posts

It does beg the question, why on earth do Labour Supporters complain they cannot get onto the Housing Ladder, have low pay, and limited options in life.

Surely they can work it out for themselves just by reading a little modern history, or is that too banned from schools as being too old fashioned.

There is a reason why some people are wealthy, and others are poor and it has nothing to do with parentage, it is directly related to your political values and beliefs.

That is why most Tories own their own property and have a nice lump of cash in the Bank.

If a young couple wanted to get a good job with good pay, and a good roof they own over their heads, then voting Labour and living their philosophy is to be frank like a Turkey voting for Christmas.

If theyre labour supporters shouldnt they at least pretend to think home ownership is evil?

I guess theyre just waiting for general secretary Brown to annouce the revolution and then house them in fine prefabricated high rises.

Clearly they are not, their supporters are either unemployed, on low pay, and dont own their own properties, have limited savings, and will shortly be without their cars.

They subscribed to Socialism, now they complain about it.

And, of course, since 1998 the Tories have done nothing BUT protest about rising house prices.

Yes they might have subscribed to socialism, they didn't get it though.

The got old fashioned one nation tory mercantile statism.

(not endorsing socialism btw that's a load of ******** as well.)

Whatever else you call the nulabour buffoons, socialist isn't a charge that can be levelled at them. You can't put a fag paper between them and the tories on most things and where you can, the tories are to the labour parties left - ID cards etc

If you cant put a fag paper between them, then how come there is so much anger at Tories who are wealthy ?

There is a vast difference between the philosophies and I trust people are finally waking up to it.

You have a choice, vote for poverty, or vote to keep your family in a lifestyle you wish to become accustomed to.

Lots of people prefer coke to pepsi.

They are both soft drinks which are bad for you though. There is no philisophical difference between them whatsoever, compared to when the last alternative parties were around.

There is no way in hell you can compare the two groups currently vying to introduce the exact same legislation against most peoples wishes with ..say... the two groups from 1983.

Well THAT's not very aspirational. What about their BTL Empire? What about FTB Tories? What about those who've leveraged their property to buy - I don't know - an Anti-Immigrant banner making business or something. What about David Cameron, who's claiming his mortgage interest out of his 24K allowance?

Or are you equating being Tory with being straight in Ancient Greece - something a man does after he's spent the last ten years buggering about?

You are getting confused with a Tory Voter and a Tory MP.

I dont care what Tory MP's do, so long as I can become wealthy which may involve hard work but worth the effort.

Its incredible that people spend their lives complaining about the rich, whilst voting for a party that is hell bent on making them poor.

Its like going to a restaurant, ordering Pie and Mash, then complaining you didnt get served Champagne and Caviar.

Sorry but you're completely off the mark. Your average Labour supporter doesnt complain about getting on the housing ladder. They either dont work and live in a state paid for HA place or are employed in some non-job in the public services, at the top of the shared equity list, or are BTLed up to the eyeballs so are quite happy that normal working people cant get on the ladder.

Frankly it would have made no difference who was in power for the last 10 years. HPI would have happened regardless and HPC will happen regardless of who is in.

So what are you doing here? Get yourself a gun and a ski mask and go and rob a bank.

Of course then the damn state would have to poke it's nose into your personal business; fascists.

Well what you rather spend your taxes on ?

Pay a private bank 100bn of taxpayers money, or pay 24k for the future prime minister who is going to save us billions by sacking all the freeloaders.

Sorry, but your parentage is the biggest factor in how you progress in life. Social mobilty continues to decrease under New Labour (Old Tory).

Also, it is perfectly reasonable to assume that people in an industrial capitalist society will ensure a status quo where the haves do not have to share with the have nots.

The third way, not working very well is it?

Big can of juicy worms ....... In light of the fact that some people join forums with the sole intention of publicising their political views this is likely to descend into a “My favourite political party” thread. I do not count any of the posters so far in this category and I agree that housing is inextricably entangled with politics but I wonder how long it will be before we are subjected to:

The BNP website is to political truth, what this website is to house prices.

Thank god for both websites.

Social Mobility is only decreasing for those that have supported the Labour Party.

Its becoming clearer every day, voting Labour increases your risk of failure in life.

Take a look at who are paying high taxes, who are bing watched 24/7, who are being pushed off the road, who's children are suffering from poor education, who's children are paying exhorbitant fees for University. Who are being hit hardest with high mortgage payments, low wages, and poor job prospects ?

Yes its the Labour Party Supporters.

The BNP are unlikely to raise their heads above this Parapit, politics has moved on leaps and bounds.

That said, they did provide the perfect catalyst to inspire debate, and speak the unspeakable.

Their views are extreme, however I find the Labour Parties views extreme, the middle ground of sensibility is clearly the Tories.

The BNP .....

ooops self fulfilling prophecy – 9 minutes

Edit - sorry that was a cheap trick. I'm far more worried about the sexist, racist, homophobic and generally discriminatory agendas of some posters on this site, which have little to do with house prices, than I am about the Tories who caused the last house price crash .....

Tories = Low Taxation

Tories = Small Government

Tories = Less Social Security, more Social Responsibility by those in need.

Tories = Billions of pounds saved that would have been paid to Europe, since handed back by Labour

Tories = The party of home ownership, provided you dont lie about your earnings

Tories = The party that will look favourably on you if you shoot a burglar in your own home

Tories = The party that will fight a war to protect our lands, but will not fight a war to protect others oil interests.

Tories = The party that taxes the Rich accordingly

Tories = The party that will ensure the pigs with their snouts in the trough will face public prosecution
