Ea Ads Almost Gone From Local Paper.

Recommended Posts

This week's local paper has many fewer EA property sales ads. 4 pages instead of about 10. But there are suddenly many more pages of rental ads. There's even one letting agency that has a whole ad devoted to properties that have been let!

Our local Proerty Advertiser stopped arriving every week about a month ago. This is in Southampton.

Same in the local free paper. Was about six pages, now about one. An EA on here explained that as it costs a grand an advert and nothing is selling at all it's completely pointless putting the ads in as it's just money down the drain.

I wish I could say the same about last night's London 'Shite'.

Though I do get great comedy value from the full 2 page advetorial spread, which usually features a bevy of trustafarians, BOM financed 20 somethings and well paid city types who've just comitted financial suicide by buying a such and such in so and so. This is then followed by a dozen pages of ads for new build properties only a 135 minute commute from London, mostly with shared ownership prices of 250K+.
