It's pretty grim stuff so far. "The downturn bites.............for high streets the lights are going out" ;)

Worth listening to again if you didn't catch it this time.

The year of vacant shop premises and half built 'developments'

Some extraordinary predictions for the number of big name high street retailers who will quit high streets this coming year. Plus inside info on the pressures developers can put on local authorities when money gets tight and projects are going on 'hold'. Looks like a lot of promised 'regeneration' isn't now going to take place in the UK.

Well worth a listen.
