Because we have been brought up in a welfare state and brainwashed to believe that we are entitled to handouts.

Is it net pay or gross you've to enter?

If you earn the "average" uk salary, you can't enter your details into this calculator if it needs your gross weekly pay.

There is an upper limit of the £330/week (£17,160/year)

The calculator is the minimum legal requirement for redundancy pay. Individual contract may (usually don't) have a better offer.

What would an average Foxtons employee get, bearing in mind they are paid about £12k p.a. in salary and the rest in bonus?
