a perfect example of whats wrong with the uk,

dumb self serving greedy people in serious positions of power.

That's the problem. I don't think Kirsty does believe that house prices are too high. I think she thinks we all need to work harder, borrow more and be in debt for as long as possible. She has 3 flats now. She worked hard for those, didn't she?

If you call scampering round the country with a bald headed twit who can't roll his 'R's', hard work, then yes!

And reinstate Nigel Hastilow as a candidate....

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/main.jh...4/13/do1306.xml

The Tories became unelectable and out of touch in the touchy-feely nineties, seeing themselves as the "nasty party" and falling easy prey to Labour's expert spin... now they've managed to update their image to circa 1993. Unless they understand the Zeitgeist and get back in touch they will never represent the majority of voters in this country.

I don't think offering up rude comments does the credibility of this sight any good, however the woman has not espoused any economic theory as to why there will not be a severe correction, or for that matter, as to why the miracle should continue. All she has to offer is wishful thinking, and I find her embarrassing to listen to.

As for the Tories to appoint her as an advisor, it's about par for the course, they have chosen celebrity over academic achievements, and it gives you a good insight as to what DC wants, spin, not the truth.

THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF ALLSOPP

One morning in late January 1887 scuffles broke out at the doors of the London and Westminster Bank in the City as potential investors fought to get hold of a copy of this document - the prospectus for issue of shares in the firm of Samuel Allsopp & Sons....

And yet, within 3 years, these same investors were demanding their money back at some of the most rowdy AGM’s ever witnessed. Allsopps had become a laughing stock and its history for the next 20 years, as it lurched from crisis to crisis until eventually falling into the hands of the receivers in 1911, made it a byword in mismanagement as probably (at least until then) the most unsuccessful brewing company the world had ever known.

Funny how this year's hot potato is next year's lame duck - rather like property.

I wonder if history will repeat itself when it comes to the business fortunes of the Allsopp family.

She's done us a favour, though she's probably so dense as to not realise it. At least some people who read that Torygraph article will look this site up out of curiosity, find a lot of intelligent debate and well-supported argument, realise that we're not all a bunch of Bruno types and that maybe she's been leading a lot of sheeple up the garden path (of one of her Devon holiday cottages).

She should realise that her professional reputation will take a bazooka round in the stomach if the crash is even half as bad as some of the pessimists here and elsewhere are predicting. But by continuing to keep a high profile, as in last week's Today apperance and now this Torygraph article, she is not only continuing to dig, but appears to have swapped her spade for a JCB.

Crap spelling does the credibility of this 'sight' no good either, chummy. Also, unless you have bugged the fat sow's apartment, or are shagging her sister, you have no idea what economic theories Krusty may have 'espoused'. She has probably espoused LOTS of weird theories (such as why boys didn't like her) that never became public. I learned long ago never to trust fat people who ask you for money, so Krusty by definition is one to be avoided at all costs. BTW, your eeeenglish sentence construction is so piss poor, I've re-written your post for you. Here's one last tip - don't try and sound more intelligent than you are. It only makes people laugh.

In my opinion, offering up rude comments damages this site's credibility. Kirsty has never made public the reasons why she believes a severe correction is unlikely, let alone arguments as to why the 'miracle' will continue. She offers nothing but wishful thinking, and frankly, embarrasses herself whenever she opens her mouth.

By appointing Kirsty as an advisor, the Tories have once again demonstrated their penchant for celebrity over academic achievement, simultaneously providing an insight into DC's preference for spin over the truth.

That's nice. Typical friggin' blame culture with unfounded and clearly misunderstood comments from someone who has glorified in creating this utopia. Are we not allowed to have independent thought and never be informed enough to question. Go on, take my final brain-cell and feed it into an overpriced debt inducing monster that we have all seen growing over the last ten years, fueled by crap tv. She's had it (along with many others) her own way for far too long and yes, thanks for the ad. Many more will now be able to choose and decide whether we are all talking rubbish or actually inducing debate.

As her professional credibility goes down the gurgler and she changes from a national symbol of NuLab/HPI-inspired affluence to one of the new age of austerity, I predict that the Tories will sever their association with Krustie quicker than Max Mosley would pull his pants down in an S 'n M dungeon.

You're right: appointing her in the first place was a short-term move by DC to send the message that the Tories are in touch with Middle England again. But when he realises that Krustie has shafted Middle England just as much as Gordon has, his PR man's instinct will seal her fate. By keeping her on, she would do roughly for the Tories' public image what would happen if the Zimbabwean opposition party appointed Eugene Terreblanche as a spokesman.

I can't believe these property porn presenters are actually blaming us FTBer's for the price declines.

How do they think their actions have contributed over the last ten years?

It is purely the fault of 1st time buyers. It is obvious that FTB should go out , mortgage to the hilt at 5,6,7 x their income, and end up thousands in debt .

they owe it to brave property developers ,who have property's galore on their hands !

I say all FTBers should go out , borrow large multiples of their salary ,and jolly well help the housing market to get back on track again !!!!

Without the Property Boom Krusty Allsop (Clown) is a NOBODY, on this years Celebrity Apprentice she acted like a SPOILT CHILD and if their team had lost would have defo had been FIRED. She hardly gets any of a BUYERS a discount. If she rolled up at my place and I was a SELLER, I would be thinking I could make a killing here. She hasn't a clue how to negotiate.

I used to watch her program and treat it as a comedy. Basically she is helping a couple of NUMBSKULLS look for some property. Hey presto lets go to the Estate Agent. Lets pay Full Price ????? . When she walks in teh EAs must be thinking $$$$$

She's thick, and since she was born into money is not aware that she is thick. I actually believe she is probably a fun person to have around, like it or not she is a jovial personality on those property shows. Her crime is simply being unaware of her own limitations, calling herself the 'deadliest enemy' of anything or anyone is amusing and serves to highlight her inflated sense of self importance. She is like this simply due to her background and the attention she recieves for having been on the telly a bit. There are many many like her, but remember it is only the thick who will be affected by what she says, that is assuming they get to hear it. And if they weren't listening to her talk ill informed nonsense they'd be listening to someone else.

Don't make the same mistake she has and assume anything she says has any impact on anything. She's not influential she's a chirpie bit of skirt to wheel out once in a while. I can assure you this is how your typical telegraph reader views her as well.

Here you are Kirsty if you are reading. An explanation at your level. Thanks to Hans Christian Anderson for his contribution!

´The vested interests salivated beneath the warm glow of house prices rises, and all the sheeple in the street and in their windows said, "Goodness, house prices only ever go up! What a beautiful 2 bed flat!. Luxury fittings!" No one wanted it to be noticed that they could see an overpriced shoe box, for then it would be said that they were stupid for not getting on the housing ladder. None of the vested interest´s flats had ever before received such praise.

"But there´ll be a house price crash" said www.housepricecrash.co.uk

"Good Lord, let us hear the voice of an innocent website" said the sheeple, and whispered to another what the website had said. "An internet website said that there´ll be a house price crash"

Finally everyone was saying, "There´ll be a house price crash"´

The vested interests shuddered, for they knew that the website was right, but they thought, "The scam must go on!" They produced more property porn even more proudly, and the vested interests kept on ramping property that was no longer rising.

Yeah, it's all our fault kirstie isn't it? why didn't i sign up for more debt than I could afford? Why didn't I steal from younger generations to support my retirement? She deserves everthing she's about to get.

You know what, to be serious. Those of us that didn't fall for the 'biggest pyramid scam' in history, are gonna be the only ones able to rebuild this country.

The future of the UK is in our hands HPCer's. We're the only ones who will be able to spend in the shops, and buy homes in 2-5 years etc.

Yeh - why don't we just admit that we have a "vested interest" in wanting to find an affordable property that will not make us debt-slaves for the rest of our lives. How possibly can property developers, like Kirsty's partner, continue to profit massively when "sick" people like us actually aspire to a decent quality of life.

They all rent and have a vested interest and enjoyment in watching

others suffer.

She almost made a correct comment there, but missed it by a whisker.

Because in fact of course we DO all have a vested interest in a crash here. Most of us anyway.

But the "enjoyment in watching others suffer" comment is just a smear.

Let's face it, Kirstys future career is on the ropes now unless she can reinvent herself. And she's well aware of it.

Personally I don't take pleasure in that, but people like her should be cast aside.

Their time has past.

What goes round....

So that's where the saying "couldn't run a piss up in a brewery" comes from!

Nicky Cambell made the same mistake when FP was on 5Live breakfast this week. Conspiracy?

Yes, I heard Victoria Derbyshire do the same thing. Just goes to prove whenever you know something about what the media is saying they usually have the details wrong.
