Luxury items you don't need What are you - a model?; Eat and drink well at home with friends It's only gonna be nasty if you can't live without crap. Whilst I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments, the fact is that a huge number of jobs are associated with the production, provision and supply of said crap, and many of these will be lost. In the long run if we can refocus our economy if a less crap-centric way that will perhaps be good (if not easy), but in the short term, it will be nasty for many people. Whether we are ever going to see the painful changes that seem to be necessary to get back to sanity remains to be seen. People seem to be addicted to consumption.
