Ftse Is Up

Recommended Posts

The FTSE has been climbing all morning. Looks like King's talk yesterday has got them thinking a cut next week is a certain. Perhaps between then and now we will see some FTSE rises?

Dow is also up slightly also.

Yes, I saw King speech yesterday and it was bizarre. Only a few weeks ago King was saying that he expected to write a letter to McStalin this year at some point and he would not take his eye off the inflation threat because he didn't want a repeat of the high inflation period of the 70's yadda, yadda. But since then it would appear that Merv has had his arm twisted a gun pointed at his head by McStalin and the CEO's of the major UK banks.

Merv has caved in and it would seem that he is now prepared to let inflation go out of control to saved the greedy city boys. I have no respect for King (a lot of posters on here believe he is some kind of god  ) - he talks big on "moral hazard" but when the chips are down he will always bail out the city.

Independent - my a@se!!!
