It's A "slump" In The Property Market

Recommended Posts

Check out BBC2 ceefax , page 204 , the time is 10.56

It says that "mortgage approvals are still slumping" and that "...lending to people who are moving home is still down by a third on the same time a year ago , said the British Bankers Association "

It then says "The figures confirm the continuing slump in the property market "

I repeat "the continuing SLUMP in the property market"

Not much else I can say ,really :rolleyes:

Wonder how long before it is deleted , and replaced by something more suitable ?

Wish it was possible to record ceefax , I'd love to upload it here ;)

When I get the time, I think I'm going to write a VI thesarus; you know the kind of thing;

slump - dramatic fall

flat - dramatic fall

sound fundamentals - dramatic fall

negative growth - dramatic fall

On second thoughts, maybe not.....

..and like a puff of smoke it was gone!

27/03/08

Minitrue entry . replace word "slump" for newspeak "downturn"

Winston Smith corrected the entry on the telescreen .

Will they change it next to

"an increase in mortgage approvals , continuing the current surge in the housing market , all down to BB's planning "

:lol::lol::lol:

With apologies to the late George Orwell
