A Little Advice For My Ex Co-posters

The Voice of the White House

“Take a long, realistic, look at your financial situation. If you have huge credit card debts, can’t reup your mortgages any more, and have no additional income, think about your choices. You can stand pat, hoping desperately that ‘things will improve,’ or consider the alternatives.

In the past, most Americans were terrified of getting bad credit so they struggled to pay their bills. Now, with millions of Americans in heavy debt, due to easy credit and their own greed, just walking away from their debt, being it credit card or mortgage, is the best and only solution for you.

If everyone has bad credit, the only way the banks and other institutions can stay in business is to lift their bars to loans because if they do not, they will all go out of business.

If two people refuse to pay their taxes, they are arrested and put in jail or fined. This information is duly given to the media to discourage others. But if ten million people, or more, refuse to pay their taxes (and they can’t thanks to the payroll deduction program) then prosecution becomes impossible.

If millions walk away from their credit card debts, the companies will go after the ones who are still paying and jack up their bills because if they don’t, they will go out of business. Then the “responsible ones” will also pack up and leave and the credit card giants will go belly-up faster than flies land on shit.

The trick is to get out in time before your payment of bills overwhelms what little savings or cash you might have. Don’t wait until you are broke before walking away.

Most people are frightened of having bad credit but if everyone but the very rich have deserted their bills, you are in the catbird seat. All American business has to extend credit to the public or they will die right on the vine so bad credit, or no credit, will become so common that new rules will be invented, rules with high sounding names like ‘probationary credit advances’ and so on, so it can still be business as usual. Just pack up and walk away, folks, walk away and ****** the greedy bastards.

And try not to get into the same bind again. Yes, I know, all your friends, family and neighbors were gorging at the table but one day, the food will run out and you have nothing in the kitchen to eat but dog food and a jar of pile ointment to spread on moldy bread.

Pretty soon, they will throw you out of your house and you will live in the park and finally eat the dog and maybe one of the smaller children. Like the rising ocean levels (six inches in the last year) debt will bury you. If the ocean is lapping at your front door, you will have to move somewhere but why wait until all the high ground in the neighborhood is taken by others? Be the first to save yourself.

Hey, throw the women and children out of the lifeboats and let the strong men get in. Chivalry has been dead for a long time and survival has no etiquette.

Walk away, friends, before you have to run away. While you can still walk, that is.”

That's a bit like the UK already though isn't it?

Tax the middle classes with stealth taxes. Don't go after scumbags who do not tax or insure their cars - simply up the taxes on those who do. Don't go after the scumbags who steal and beat people up - instead, concentrate on making criminals out of people who drive a few miles over the speed limit at the wrong moment or who put out their refuse on the wrong day.

Rightly, after what has happened to HBOS shares in recent weeks, not to mention this entire housing and financial bubble disaster, we should see numerous people associated with the banks and property end up in jail. Will we in the UK - not a chance. But you wait till some 75 year old pensioner refuses to pay her increased Council Tax!

Oooh that's not true. I had to get them to bring my car back the other week after they took it to be crushed. Very eager they were to clampdown, very zealous. It was on the back oif a wagon and gone. The rest of the post I agree with though.

They are farmers, we are livestock. The law abiding have the most to fear.

Agree 100%. The way to be these days is "Don't give a f***". Chances are you'll get away with it - if you play by the rules you'll find that the powers that be find ever more ways to screw you over.

I think the bit about them not going after no-insurers is very true. I have seen this several times. People just move and dont care etc.. and magically it just goes away. I have always been scared and taken the docs in etc.. but if you dont care there isn't a lot the police can do.

It`s always the small guy who suffers first. Governments seem to run on the prinicple of `an iron fist in a velvet glove`.

In fact, it is better to go into the kind of debt that you have NO chance of repaying than just a few missed payments on stupid things like council tax.

Will the `big boys` in the `financial hubs` get done for anything? NOT A CHANCE! <_< At best a few `slapped wrists`; but the whole racket is so ingrained in our financial system that any root-and-branch legal action has as much chance as a pig flying (and I`m not talking about cops in choppers here!)

If you can`t beat them join them - give DVLA false details so you can park anywhere without having to face the music; get dodgy tax discs off ebay; why bother to insure your car when the worst you`ll get is a £145 fine plus charges (if you get caught). Criminal record? Badge of honour!!

If, at the end of the day, St Peter (the patron saint of bouncers) asks you why you were so bad, just say you were a product of your environment! (Then call in social services to argue your case for going to heaven - better still, pretend to be an asylum seeker!!!)<_<

What I see here is a complete breakdown between the citizens and government - how long before open dictatorship is subtly replaced by media-spin-thingy machines??! :o

Or even a quiet revolution..... millions of people actually walking away from their debts, which is what the tbrnews article advocates.
