Estate Agency Turns Cake Shop For The Day

Recommended Posts

The Norwich Evening News weekly property supplement shows no signs of a "spring bounce" - it's 28 pages today - this time last year it was 60 pages.

One snippet from the aforementioned:

Local estate agent William H Brown is turning it's hand to selling cakes instead of houses today, as part of a nationwide challenge whereby every office in the 313-branch network will be raising money for charity.

The Team at Attleborough office on Exchange Street decided to raise money by selling cakes in the office to anyone who pops in, and they will also be running a competition to guess the name of the Easter bunny - with a winning cuddly bunny as a prize.

Senior negotiator Gemma Icke at the Attleborough office said: "All our branches will be raising money towards our £124,000 target, and we thought we'd do something a bit different. It'll be a bit of fun for customers on the day, and, who knows, if we're any good at it, it could be a sideline!"

or, instead of a sideline, it could become your day job...

I think maybe the Estate Agents have too much time on their hands at the moment :D

Desperate times call for desperate measures!

My local agents are having a first time buyers initiative at the moment - open evenings where punters can drop in for wine and nibbles (pint for the fella, glass of white wine for the lady!) whilst systematically being fleeced of any earnings/savings over the next 25 years!

There's a piccie in the local rag showing the branch manager (gold-toothed chav) sitting at a desk pretending to look busy whilst the "sales progressor" (WTF?) is positioned to show just how busy he really is. Luckily it's a shot of the back of her head!

They must be desperate 'cos the "keen FTB's" are actually other members of staff at the branch!! They've taken the picture showing only the back of their heads! Classic!

I might pop along and ruffle a few feathers one night!
