Jp Morgan And Pensions

Recommended Posts

I read today that JP Morgan has just taken over the investment of the entire Devon County Council Pensions Fund.

As an employee of Devon County Council I don't know whether to be reassured (JP Morgan does appear to have played the credit bubble better than most) or worried (are my pension funds now propping up the liabilities associated with Bear Sterns?)

I'm not looking for any cheap shots about local authority pension funds, that not what this post is about - rather, any opinions on this situation?

1. No, our Council Taxes are propping up your generous pension, by law, and will always do so.

2. This shot is not "cheap" - my council tax bill (and contribution to your pension) is decidedly un-"cheap"

Why can't anyone on the internet spell "lose"

There're loosers :P

EDIT: Reading internet forums is like reading text messages from the younger generation, you know whats being said, but hate the style.

Nothing you can do about it though.
