Property Porn Is Becoming That Little Bit Cleaner

Recommended Posts

On Channel 4 now.

The lovely Miss Lamb is actually presenting a reasonably balanced picture of the Spanish and Portugese property markets.

She has mentioned Spanish landgrab and illegal builds. Added to that, she also mentioned that it is now a "buyers' market", cited two reasonably large price reductions and stressed that buyers have got to be in it for the long term.

A Place In The Sun was the only property porn I could handle before. It seems to have taken on a very HPC edge to it.

Plus, she even mentioned the credit crunch!!! ;)

"[the area] is still relatively undiscovered by us brits which means that property can still be bought on a budget......here, property prices have barely changed in the last 10 years"

Translation: "Quick, everyone pile in! We've priced locals out in the UK, now lets do it to everyone here too!"

Let's try Plan B!

(They are buying a converted donkey stable in middle of the mountains - didn't see any central heating/ mains gas/ water/ sewerage connection.) Freezing in winter. Let's f-ck off back to Yorkshire and the dream house with the stables was my view.

God, that woman reminded me so much of Heather Mills! :lol: Do you think the reason for a lifestyle change was that she had just been dumped?

heating=wood burning stove, solar heating

water= stream or from the mountain

sewerage=cesspit

What more do you want for less than £100k

Program dated from SUMMER 2007. So it is out of date.

Don't buy in Costas - crashed already, don't buy in Portugal - hasn't crashed yet but is crashing, maybe buy in Esturia - before it crashes.

A programme past its sell by date, they filmed it so they may as well air it, but it has no point now.
