Emergency Lending

Recommended Posts

I love it when we see this emergency lending for the nth time. I wonder who is qualified enough at the B of E, Treasury et al to gauge whether this loan will ever be repaid and what is securing it. What is the process, does A&L chairman say 'look our balance sheet as at accouting year end 2007 was x we can afford it, trust me' who is scrutinising these fools. Lets face it the powers that be couldn't spot the holes on the way up so how can they spot them on the way down? Just looks like a big old mess to me, but we all knew that a few years ago didn't we. Shotguns and corned beef are the next commodity.
