Zoopla House Price Poll

Recommended Posts

I signed up with them today and found the results of a poll they are running:

Which direction do you think UK home prices are headed in 2008?

Sharp rise = 5%

Gentle rise = 20%

Remain flat = 25%

Gentle fall = 35%

Sharp fall = 15%

Doesn't state how many have voted though.

But 20% still expecting a gentle rise? Come on!

And the 5% expecting a sharp rise? Must all be from British Expats website!

zoopla have changed their poll system now to include how many people have voted. :P

37% think there will be a slight fall in UK house prices.

25% think there will be a sharp fall.

1% are completely deluded and think thee will be a sharp rise.:lol:

Oh well we all live in hope don't we! ;)

Do folk on here find Zoopla much use? Most of the estimate prices are far out. The property descripions are so limited that comparing prices is pointless and the only properties where the description is accurate is where the owners have put the details in themselves and told Zoopla what price they think its worth.

Even the sold prices are almost useless because you don't know what type of property it was.

Maybe I'm missing something.

It looks like there's been a slight sea change in those polls of late, I wonder why? Perhaps, and go with me on this one for a minute, an entirely new group of people have found the site and er... the results have er... yeah you can see where I'm going :P . I think we should start a little HPC Team to go around skewing polls results, although one might suspect that someone might take a somewhat unfriendly opinion about that sort of malarkey. Heh.
