headmelter Posted January 28, 2011 Share Posted January 28, 2011 There was a lot of dead wood on propertynews - perhaps some of that has been removed. Also I know of several who could not sell and have now rented out - but I don't know how widespread that is. There's a few on there I viewed as far back as 2004. They have seesawed with the market on the way up and now on the way down so can not be serious sellers imo. Don't know how widesperead or common that might in comparison with other areas. Thats a new trick used by some agents to make sure their listing goes back to the top of the Propertynews listing on the recently added section. I even saw one agent dropping the price of a house by £1 each week to keep the house at the top where it would be seen more often! Try dropping it to its true value would be a start!
