Darling Says Housing Market To Slow Further

Recommended Posts

Excellent use of tense, don't you think?

:D

Did he have a strange blank look when he said that? Was Gordon standing behind him at the time?

U-turn Ali and his master know one thing for sure: their future rests on the HPI miracle. This country's enitre financial stability rests on the direction of house prices. As goes HPI so goes sterling and everyting else Gordon worked so hard to give us.

If he thinks it is going to slow down now while it is 'fundamentally strong' whatever the hell that means. What does he think will happen when it really goes t'ts up?

"strong" == "overvalued"

Slow down further? blimey, it is already an ex- housing market isn't it?

Approvals an all time low (3 month on 3 month, YoY to follow).

The only way it could slow down firther is for it to stop altogether.

Incidentally, when they talk about house prices "slowing", they are kind of right in terms of YoY, but as things go YoY, what with velocity being directional, they will have to talk about house prices speeding up. :lol:

It was more a look of pain.... and yes now you mention it he was. With a 100,000 Volt cattle prod in one and and a ACME DIY Bullock Sterilisation kit.

I think he picked up the wrong kit though. The mouse version shoudl have been fine. :lol:

..."is fundamentally strong"....could be a case of misselling if some naive 1st time buyer listens to the man ...and goes ahead and buys now...!...will they have a claim on him....basically he should not be making such utterances while the extreme uncertainity prevails... <_<
