Bald Bloke On The One Show Bbc1 Just Said Property Prices Gone D O W N

Recommended Posts

Double post in another thread, BUT.... I think this is worth a thread. They're now going for it.

quote me :

One Show - BBC1 now - Mortgage reset examples.

Some poor couple in a 2 bed terrace with 140k mortgage reset 825 to 1036.

Dom is throwing it all in. Inflation, wage stagnation, HP's falling.

Now wondering whether to come "OFF THE LADDER". Oh DEAR!

Is this the same Dom who on yesterdays show said it won't be like the last crash because people have learnt from that and won't be chasing the market down?

If it is, then he's probably got some explaining to do, although he didn't say crash today, he said merely "going down".

In the same way that a balloon that runs out of gas does not crash, it just goes down?

Couple chatting with bint mortgage advisor

Dom: So how are you getting on?

Advisor: Really well!

Wife (smiling): We have a number of options, and if we need to rent again, that's something we'd consider!

 WTF? Yep - you try selling & moving into a cheaper place when you're in NE to the tune of 20k on that craapy newbuild.

Feel sorry for them as they have a kid though.. :(

How does one consider a need?

Before the "Auction" sign appears outside.

*** I shouldn't make such jokes, as it will inevitably lead to suffering. :(

Thursday and Fridays night show may be worth sticking in for!

Thursday 06 March:

The property week continues with a look at the winners and losers of the property crash in the 1990s.

Friday 07 March:

And our series of property films concludes with a look at the ups and downs of buying, selling and renting.

I don't.

Fair enough, I used to think the same myself, but think of the innocents etc etc.

BTL's, flippers etc can go burn, and burn hard for all I care though, but the human costs of families out on the street is not one I'd wish on anyone, even the financially illiterate. They were a decent enough couple, just trying to do the best for themselves & their kid I'd imagine. Pity..
