Ash4781
http://www.number-10.gov.uk/output/Page14804.asp Mr Brown also said that housing should be available to all who need it at a price they can afford. The Government will build 750,000 new homes by 2010 as part of the Government's target of three million new homes by 2020 and to identify the sites of ten new eco-towns by the end of 2008, he said. Wait a minute it's March 2008 already and Northern Rock has been nationalised! Housebuilders aren't going to ramp up production supply if prices are falling. Even if the builders' get land at giveway prices where are the builders going to get their financing from ? Maybe it'll be the repo's getting refurb'd and classed as new ? the end is a bit nigher
The opposite, house building is grinding to a halt. Now builders aren't getting the price they are used to for houses they aren't bothering to build.
Moo
Ah, yes, commitments. Are they like pledges? Oh, or are they policies? Is there any element of promising involved? Why does this crap always read like a double glazing flyer?
