Oil Briefly Tops $103 a Barrel for First Time As US Dollar Weakness Draws Investors
SINGAPORE (AP) -- Oil prices surpassed $103 a barrel for the first time Friday as persistent weakness in the U.S. dollar and the prospect of lower interest rates attracted fresh money to the oil market.

Get ready for 1.50 a litre for petrol this year? The last three oil spikes caused recessions but this time we have an almighty HPC going on at the same time.

Funny how the US friendly OPEC nations refused to increase supply to cash in eh? Surely they're not running out are they?

Much higher to go. $140 by Aprl I will lose on but within 2 years I am sure.

Opec Quota disicpline has always been awful, and given that most of the governments involved are less than perfectly democratic and transparent, it could hardly be otherwise. With no sanctions possible, cheating is practically enforced.

Until recently, where for some reason all the countries have stuck in output, some above and some below quota. Almost as if they were all pumping everything they could regardless of quota.
