City Boy View On Northern Rock

Recommended Posts

In one of the (pretty awful IMO) freebee London evening rags there is a column called cityboy, an anonymous view of life in the Square Mile by a supposedly high earning worker down there. The column is the only thing I find worth reading (not in every night) and last night was no exception - sums things up quite well I felt...

Funny. I think there's several people taking it ui turn to write the column myself as the style is so uneven over time.

So, if your home is repossessed or your business fails over the next couple of years, I’d suggest you use your last few quid to buy a plane ticket to New York. Once there, head down to Wall Street and kick the nearest smug-looking, Armani-suited tosser you meet in the gonads. It won’t do any good, but it might make you feel a bit better.

Definitely - last night's was the first time I've actually read anything sensible in that column. Normally it's been a variation on 'My pals and I are so awfully stinking rich from our terribly important and stressful city jobs that after a long night shoving tenners in strippers' garters and spraying Bollinger round the walls, we just can't find any other ways of getting rid of our money apart from setting fire to it'.
